F4P Roof & Facade Access

THE SPEC HUB

Roof & Facade Access

Independent specification for roof and facade access. We set the specification for the project — what the risk is, how it should be eliminated or mitigated, and what the installed system must actually do — before a single product is chosen.

Design safety, not product sales

The duty already sits with the designer

Under the WHS Act (s22, "Duty of designers of structures"), architects and designers already have a legal duty to consider health and safety in their designs. Not the installer. Not the builder. The designer. That duty exists whether or not they ever come to us.

Most architects know this loosely but treat it as a box-tick — not something they actively resource. That reframes the whole pitch: we are not selling a service they might want. We are offering the cheapest, easiest way to discharge an obligation they already legally carry.

We sit in the compliance room, not the marketing room. We assess the risk first, then look at every product option — including design changes that eliminate roof and facade access risk before any hardware is chosen.

Free tool: height safety design assessment

Score each roof task with an exposure-weighted risk matrix, work the hierarchy of controls in order, and print a Design Report. Runs in your browser, nothing is stored.

01

Specified properly, first time

Access and height safety designed against the building and the work that will happen on it — not a catalogue default.

02

Built for the whole chain

Architects, Builders, Certifiers, Structural Engineers and Height Safety Installers each get what they need from the same specification, so nothing gets lost between them.

03

Connected to installers

We link the design to a qualified installer network, so the system that was specified is the system that gets installed.

Installer coverage across Australia

F4PS is engaged by height safety installer businesses covering the whole east coast of Australia and Tasmania, including regional and metropolitan locations. We connect the design to installers who understand the specification, so the system that was drawn is the system that gets installed.

We are actively looking for installer partnerships in South Australia, Western Australia, the Northern Territory and New Zealand. If your business installs roof and facade access systems and works to the same standard, get in touch.

CPD-accredited session — coming soon

We are developing a short CPD session for architects and designers on designer safety duties for roof access under the WHS Act. If your practice or chapter would like to be notified when it is ready, email us and we will put you on the list.
